answers to questions so far:
Tires Pirelli P7 non runflat (I think). They have a lot of tread left, so they'll make it through this year, but when they're gone they'll get replaced with Michelins or Contis.

We will get a second set of 18" wheels w/ Nokians for winter. That was one of the things with the X5. We never thought we'd keep it 4 yrs, so we never got a hitch, roof rack or snows for it. This car will be a keeper so we can add the things we want without feeling like a waste.

The previous owner got $55k in trade, so I'm sure it was an Accord + cash transaction. He said he lives in Vienna, VA and does 90% of his driving to Dulles where he leaves it in the lot to fly places. The accord was a better fit.
