Threads like this are why my Cayman's 19" Spyder wheels live in the garage and I drive around on 18" Kmart specials. (I mean tire rack specials)
The Kmart wheels also dropped me 5 lbs / corner (wheel and tire combined) but that's beside the point.
I don't like having pothole anxiety. Just not worth it.
