Transmission swap on an Alfa Romeo Giulia QV

So I'm actually pretty happy with our non QV Giulia and keep thinking that it would be a perfect sedan with more power and a stick. Used QVs aren't stupid expensive thanks to Alfa-grade depreciation, so I keep having this recurring idea to get a used QV to replace my non-QV Giulia and then swapping the transmission.

The QV was sold with a stick option for a year in Europe and the diesel non-QV models can be had with a stick in Europe.

Does anyone have any idea how difficult this would be or ideas on resources to figure out how difficult it would be. I've obviously googled the obvious variations of the question but no one seems to have worked through it. I mostly find other people posing the question but no solid answers.

I'm guessing determine the part #s from a European parts manual and then look for them. I imagine shipping a transmission overseas won't be cheap either. But I'm not thinking of this in terms of a bargain. I'm even willing to accept that reliability might be total shit.

I totally accept that this is a batshit crazy idea. But as I keep coming back to it in my head, I would love to get a better sense of what it might take to execute.
