They may be out there, but they are a lot rarer than the earlier IMS bearings. LN Engineering will tell you that it's still a risk, but then again, they have a vested interest in ppl buying the earlier cars where the bearing can be serviced without splitting the case (and installing one of their bearings).
All else equal, a non IMS DFI 997.2 is a better car for a number of reasons, including the IMS, but in terms of performance:value, it's really hard to beat a 997.1 S.

I guess that's encouraging since these are the only ones I may be able to afford some day.
