I knew someone who interviewed there last year. You could spec any car (although no 911s at the time) up to the GTS level. There were some guidelines (no pts colors, had to have premium pkg, etc) but otherwise it sounded pretty open. But yeah with the surge in demand for the 4.0 gts maybe they’ve restricted that model as well . I think it’s pretty unique within the VW group in that respect - other brands (like VW) just have a centralized pool as you described
