The Boxster is pretty obvious why we took my wife's car on weekends -- it just didn't fit all of us.
But back when I had the CTS, we rarely took it as a family -- even though it was the larger and more comfortable car. My wife still had her X3 when I got the CTS and then she had the 325 Touring later... We took the CTS maybe 10% of the time.
I basically attribute it to the Tesla just being less expensive to operate. Plus, my daughter likes being able to sit in the middle in the back and look at both the big screen and out the front...
