450 /43.8 = 10.27 gallons is the same thing-ish.

She's going to run it down to what appears to be 1.5-2.0 gallons regardless. Whatever the amount of gas in the tank is usable, the shorter range means filling up 120ish miles earlier than the spec calls for. For my wife, that means significantly more fill ups in a given period of time and that's a big deal to her.
