I'll keep a (closer) eye on the porsche. It makes sense that 9 years is pushing it.

The battery killer for me have been large 2-cylinder motorcycles. My 2012 bmw r1200r killed a few, even though it was never left to go dead. The most fun symptom of the battery going bad was that its analog speedo and rpm started reading double. I was wondering how I was getting up to 55-60mph in residential areas. The 2017 r1200r, water-cooled, seems to be stronger in the battery and easier in the start department, let's hope it stays that way. The 4-cyl Z always started on first tick; bit of a japanese bike quality as well.

My 2018 ktm is on the same bad list with its 1301cc engine. The big twins have hard starts in the cold. Even with regular riding and charging, it has a slow cold start after only 1-2 weeks. Battery is less than a year old Yuasa .
