If you get the 2k either way, get the Performance. My first one was an 85, and while ZBB is right that the performance difference is (relatively) small, I regretted not getting the P immediately. Since getting the P85, I’ve never gotten tired of the acceleration.
I’d also say it’s not a one trick pony. Especially for commuting, it’s a very relaxing car to drive.
