Still not as confusing as my old '77 Corvette gauges.
The speedo was the normal speed numbering, decently legible.
But the tach was number x100 in stead of the usual x1000. This meant the big numbers on the tach were reading 10 20 30 40 50 etc, very similar to the speedometer. And both gauges were the same side behind the wheel.
