Lol. No. You guys are overthinking this. You just jack up the rear with a floor jack. If the car moves forward at all, the viscous coupler is good. And yes, the rear wheels will rotate.
When the VC is burned out, the rear wheels spin and the front does nothing. You still have AWD, but AWD with an open center diff is not nearly as effective.
