What lemming and JV said. The GT350 is fantastic on paper, but it has issues...especially the Voodoo engine and those issues are serious and widespread. Seems to be much more likely than the Porsche IMS problems or spun bearings in BMW M cars that have given so many here agita in considering those cars. Also has transmission issues, but they're not as bad. It uses the Tremec 6060 6 speed, which is the same transmission that was in my turbo Camaro, but the GT350 version has some reinforcing to allow it handle the Voodoo's rated torque...but that's it! It's a decent and comparatively light (which is why it's in the GT350) transmission and pretty durable up to a point, but if you try to put too much power through it, it won't last.
Pricewise, MSRP is just over $60 and I think used ones are going for mid/high $50s. Performancewise, they are comparable to the Camaro xSS 1LE. Perhaps slightly better in certain cases.
The new Mach 1 will be the shit come spring. Basically, it's a GT350 without the Voodoo problems because it uses the Coyote engine. It will MSRP at $53 to start and add $5k for the "handling pack" I would need. That's going to be too pricey for me, but the car is going to be awesome.
