That's exactly it for me. I really don't want a lot of cornering grip on a street car anymore but the balance of the car has to be right. It's one of the reasons I like the Boxster on lower (dry) grip tires. It makes the car more playful and entertaining.
I want enough power that the vehicle doesn't feel strained (the CX-5 fails in this regard which is my biggest complaint with it) and ideally enough that it's a little traction-limited coming out of slower corners but that's about it.
