We pay nothing near that. But State Farm insures by car not driver. Our daughter is listed a driver but we didn't tag her to any car as the primary driver.
We insure 5 cars. Obviously the Tesla is the most expensive but, strangely, the M3C is the cheapest. For the 5 cars, which also includes the ancient E39, our A4 wagon and our daughter's GTI, we pay about $3200 every 6 mos (and the Tesla is more than $1200 of that).
