I know the M2 has great reviews, but The M3 weighs only marginally more. A lot of people stopped paying attention to the M3 after the first year or two, but the last year or two were substantially better - especially with the ZCP.
Maybe the M2 still gets the slight nod, and it is certainly cheaper, but the M3 is a hell of a roomy sedan.
