Unfortunately they did… no clue when they discontinued the use of it? My car was built late March 2009.
Edit: New plastic entry sills ordered as well as the stainless steel ‘Carrera’ sill plates to replace the current plastic ones.
I tried to keep the E39 out of it as much as possible, but I had little room to work with.
