We will see re the mileage. I have owned the Z3 for seven years now and the most mileage placed on it was the first year and this year. In between it was seeing less than 500 miles annually.

I am thinking of of going with my usual preference for the 19s, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Very clueless as to what tires most 997 owners prefer? Whatever I end up with will not be mounted and balanced until Spring ‘22.

See JST's "I'm cursed" thread for a generic wheel pic. Again, 981/991 and 987/997 are 1" apart in diameter, so I'm talking in sidewall height for ride comparison.
I don't think you'll regret the mps4s, but I'm not at a point where I need all 4 new tires. The wheels came with a set of goodyears at 75-80%.
