The exterior is awful for Porsche standards, but it's not objectively awful and it was helped a lot by the updated headlamps.
With the IMS issue added on top of it, it would have to be a bargain.

There are tons of engine issues with most Porsche generations.
I don’t mind the IMS because you can address it easily.
You can’t address the chronic need to adjust the valves on 964s or the clogged air injectors on 993s.
It’s more like the front radiator lines on a Watercooled Mezger engine or the head bolts on a 2.7. Part of the provenance.
And to the point made above: PDK is frightfully expensive out of warranty. It’s not a repairable thing as of yet. It’s a replacement item and at 10-15k, that’s not what I’d call an addressable item.
