Ha, that's too creepy! At one point earlier I was going to say that the E90 had hints of the E36 in it, but I figured I'd get flamed. Maybe I'm not as crazy as I thought.

I see some hints of the E36 in the E90 as well. The sharper lines remind me more of the E36 sedan.
