To be clear, I was talking about intervention with PSM "Off" (which really isn't completely off on these cars).
I was thinking back to brakes. I drove a friend's 997 GT3 a couple years ago when I had just purchased my 987. I didn't notice anything different between the two in terms of braking. Porsche is fairly well-known for iterating things like brake pads throughout production runs, and pads have a huge impact on brake feel.
