The E46 absolutely has center jacking points front and rear.
And just because people love to bring up the quickjack system when you talk about any sort of hassle related to jack stands, it doesn't really fit under a 993. (I don't like it because it doesn't get high enough and it badly impedes access to the center of the car.)
