I didn't give all the real information. It is a Red Carpet Ford lease. In the past, I have never had an issue getting out of a lease a little early with Ford. I have been able to go to any dealer, and make a deal on a new ride and trade in the current leased vehicle. (leases have a payoff figure, just like a car loan)

Never was an issue, til now.

I have been doing a few huge landscaping projects at our new house, and life the next few months would be much easier if I had a pickup truck. Loading yard debris, and hauling it 8 miles to the county landfill sucks using an SUV. I also need to haul in lots of rocks.

Anyway, while looking at trucks at both the local GM/GMC dealers and also at the local Ford dealer I have been told that I need to deal with the selling dealership.

It seems Ford has gotten more strict on early lease returns, or market conditions have changed greatly in regards to getting out early. I'm sure if I keep the Edge til lease end Ford will take it back anywhere.
