I was in western PA or eastern OH a couple weeks ago when I drove into a flock of bugs. I could see them and all of a sudden, "thwack, splat, flap, pat, thwack, splat, splat, thwack," and 15 or 20 sets of bug guts were splattered across my windshield in about a half second's time. I don't recall having ever experienced that before.
