I tend to doubt it, too, but there's really only one way to find out--call someone at a dealer and ask.
If it's true, I'll buy it from you when you're done with it.
EDIT:
The one thing that has always puzzled me is that the configurator has always listed the PDK as an option, and shown a pic of a manual transmission.
