2017 X3
Folks,
Any thoughts on this x3? It's a 2017 X3 3.5 with very low (kind of strangely low) miles. California car. MSport, but no sport suspension. And, alas, it's black: https://www.unitedbmw.com/inventory/...wx7c31h0u43918 INCLUDED PACKAGES Cold Weather Package Heated Steering Wheel Heated front seats Heated rear seats Retractable headlight washers Driving Assistance Package Rear view camera Park Distance Control M Sport Without Lines designation Technology Package Instrument cluster Instrument cluster Instrument cluster ConnectedDrive Services Advanced RTTI Remote Services Navigation system Head-up Display M Sport Package 8-Spd Sport Auto Transmission Performance Control 19" M wheel 622M w/ as rft Standard suspension Roof rails in Satin Aluminum Fineline Anthracite Wood Trim Sport seats Dynamic Cruise Control M steering wheel Aerodynamic kit Shadowline exterior trim Anthracite headliner Increased top speed limiter ADDITIONAL OPTIONS Panoramic moonroof Harman Kardon surround sound Apple CarPlay Compatibility CO2 relevant vehicles Automatic Start/Stop function Brake Energy Regeneration Servotronic Multifunction steering wheel Tire pressure monitor Alarm System Power tailgate Universal garage-door opener Comfort Access keyless entry Privacy glass Floor mats Auto-dimming driver mirror Auto-dimming rearview mirror Power Front Seats 40/20/40 Split Rear Seat Lumbar support Storage package Blow-by heater Black high gloss instr panel Xenon headlights Adaptive light control Automatic climate control Ambient Lighting LED Fog Lights SIRIUS radio capable DVD Area coding, North America BMW Assist eCall BMW TeleServices Enhanced USB and Bluetooth Oil Chg 10,000 mls/12 months Variable Light Decoding Daytime driving lights Transport protection Connected App Compatibility Tier 2 |
My first reaction was seems pricey and I would hate the black interior in the south, but after browsing autotrader it doesn't look too bad. I haven't spent any time in the last gen platform, but the new one is really well done.

Miles are great, from what I see it looks like a great car ... I would ask the dealer to confirm in writing there is no paintwork and no accidents, if they respond with ‘it has a clean car fax’ I would still want the confirmation in writing being I know my sons A3 car fax didn’t show accidents because I paid for them and that A3 looked perfect but was a mess.
Also I wouldn’t be concerned about the mileage, my 83 year old mom has a Lexus NX300 sport that is 4-5 yrs old with under 10k miles ... the build is ridiculously sporty plus it’s white with a red interior .... you would think a young person owned it. |

I've rented a house, so the two dogs and kid shuffling is about to get very real... |

Might want to watch this for 2 days and see what comes of it. Although, if I had to pick between a 4cl wagon and a 6 cyl x3, I'd probably take the x3. |

https://www.rickhendrickbmw.com/cert...c50c139a81.htm The price on this 2017 X5 keeps dropping, too. But it's still a chunk more change: https://www.unitedbmw.com/inventory/...kr6c37h0u13020 And then there's this new Golf Alltrack, that probably could be had for $25k: https://www.stonemountainvw.com/inve...m17au6km522993 |

Plus, I thought yours was a lease? |
Not a lease, though I'll probably lease the next one (was supposed to be doing that for an X5 or X7 m50i this month, but obviously not happening).
2016 X5 50i Carbon Black / Black M Sport 19 inch wheels 36K miles exec pack - soft close doors, comfort access, a bunch of other stuff Dynamic handling LED lighting pack Lane change assist / whatever. It doesn't have the radar cruise or self driving stuff. leather dashboard heated and ventilated seats heated steering wheel black exterior trim I think it has a few other random things but those are the highlights - it was a BMW exec car in NJ before I had it. Best car we've ever owned. http://forums.carmudgeons.com/attach...4&d=1503883885 |

seems like the n55 version of the X5 might be the sweet spot of price / value. I found the same thing when we got ours. |

Carmax and Carvana both let you "return" cars and don't seem to make you jump through a lot of hoops to do so. Does Vroom? |

Just an FYI, I am toying with the idea of selling my 2017 F15 xDrive35i, 42XX miles. Priority 1, built early May 2017, PCD early June 2017.
