Going to tire shops is not something I miss.

LOL - a couple of years ago, I replaced the tires on several cars and three trailers. I bought 25 tires all together... (odd number as I also replaced the single spare on the boat). I don't wanna to do that too often. LOL Was a pretty pricey visit.

Fortunately some of this is moving tires around. Although not pictured are the six tires I bought a couple weeks ago.

You haven't lived until you've tried to fit 4 tires in the passenger seat of an Atom, along with the usual luggage/

I was getting new tires (that I had shipped from Tire Rack to an installer) mounted for a 3-day run at Laguna Seca. I was going to just pay the shop to dispose of the old tires, but another Atom owner asked if he could have them (they still had a fair amount of meat on them - for soft AO48's - but there was no way I was going to be able to do 3 days at Laguna Seca and then drive home to NJ). So I loaded them into the Atom and showed up at the Laguna Seca gate looking like the truck from Beverly Hillbillies on moving day.

One time I *did* cram 13 into the 325xiT. I had to get help backing out. The truck is much easier.

I’m lucky that there’s a YUUUUGE Tire Rack warehouse about 20 miles from me, and I can drive over there and buy some of the freshest rubber with no shipping charges.

Here too in ATL—well, Doraville, GA.

This thread reminds me I need to price out balancers again.

The tire machine has more than paid for itself after five years of use but it would be nice to be able to balance stuff at home.
