Fitment advice from the experts
My e91 runs 17-inch staggered wheels: 225/45/17s on rims 7x8 ET34 front and 245/40/17 17x8.5 ET39 rear.
From running the calculators, it looks like the e61 rims will work: 17x7.5. Figuring 205/45/17 winter tires. Or 225/45/17s. Or 50s in either. Looks like 45s lower about .5 inches and 50s raise by a similar amount in the 205s. Can anyone please confirm? Many Thanks! PS: Best I can do below with posting calculator results. Looks like the biggest difference is for the rear. FRONT: Wheels: Wheel 1 Wheel 2 Wheel size 17x8 ET 34 17x7.5 ET 43 BackSpace 148 mm (5.8'') 151 mm (5.9'') 3 mm (0.1'') deeper. I wouldn't do 225/50 on a 17"... too tall for your car. Do 205/50 or 225/45.

I think 225/45/17s. Does the offset seem ok?

Not sure about the offset on a E60 wheel, I didn't get into those numbers on your original post. Let me check it out. |

The e39 had a different center bore, but the e60 and e90 are the same. Same bolt pattern, too.
The AWD e60s have a very similar (the same?) offset as the e90s. |

Bolt pattern and center bore are the same. Found some fitment website though that says the maximum offset for the e90 is 40. The e61 wheels are 43... Sigh.

205/45-17 is completely wrong as is 225/50-17. 205/50-17 would be acceptable, but 225/45-17 would be better.
I ran 225/45-17 all-seasons on my e90xi. Then I had 225/45-17 winters front and rear for the e90i rwd... Best size winters for that car. What is the e60 wheel offset that you have? I'm almost sure it will work before seeing the number, but I couldn't pick it out of your first message. |
