Nice! Are you getting anything to replace it?

My wife would emphatically say "NO". She's right, we will be good with the three cars we have for at least another year or so. Barring anything major going wrong.

Me... I've been spending the morning browsing car sales sites and trying to put a case together for this:

It just so happens I'll be in Sacramento on Feb 12th and 13th. Wouldn't this be a nice Valentines Day Present?

Those are great if you don't have to pay for maintenance or repairs.

Otherwise, NFW

What are the major issues?

I've only mildly researched ownership costs. I read about the ones with the valve stem issue, but haven't seen many re-occurring problems outside of that.

I haven't researched very much as this is all a pipe dream at the moment.

Anecdotal. But every person I know that has had a Mercedes has bemoaned the insane cost to do routine stuff like spark plugs, brake jobs, shocks, suspension parts, etc. And they're complicated and a pain in the ass to work on.

But again. Anecdotal. I wouldn't go near one. But then again I won't go near owning a modern BMW either. Too unreliable.
