Waze's AirPlay implementation is HORRIBLE as I belive I've detailed elsewhere.

It's a major gripe for me.

One thing I like about both the Malibu and Regal is that they have the keyless unlock button on the door handle (similar to BMW/MINI). But the button is on all 4 doors. The drivers door button only unlocks that door, but the other 3 buttons unblock all doors - Unlike BMW...
I'm assuming the keyless entry system is the same as the Camaro's. If so, that behavior is configurable in vehicle settings menu.

Waze in general is horrible

Waze is fantastic.

Once I realized I can easily disable all the alerts that I don't want (like "Car stopped on shoulder ahead) it got even better.

Is that actually a setting you can change now? After the user community requested it for years with no action?

Honestly that is the main reason I had largely stopped using Waze.

Edit... Hallelujah! I take back my Waze hate.

I had a fully loaded GSX AWD for a weekend test drive and i enjoyed it a lot (for what it was) Wife liked the Fusion Titanium AWD more, and it was going to be her car so.... Unlike the Fusion you rented, this one had the turbo intercooled engine that is also in the Focus ST, nothing hybrid about it

Back to Tesla

Wikipedia shows that the current Malibu and Cadillac XT4 are also using the E2XX platform (updated version of Epsilon II)... The Regal and Malibu had a lot of similar controls, and it’s clear it’s the same electronics package used in that platform. Since GM sold Opel, I don’t think they are producing the Regal in Germany anymore (the prior gen was made in Germany…)

Edit: Wikipedia says the 2018 Regal is produced in Germany… I'm guessing the Opel sale included some continuation for a bit...

Waze on CarPlay works for my needs :dunno:

The default keyless behavior works well. Having buttons on the back door and not just the front door makes it easy to unlock only the drivers or all doors by deciding which button to push. I hadn’t seen the buttons on the back doors before...

The 3 series didn't get them, but the 5 series did (fwiw in red to your BMW comment.). I have them on all 4 doors on the X5. It was one of the things I noticed was missing on the 3gt

Ah… My wife's Countryman only has them on the front, and so did her E91. Good to know about the 5er and X5… Perhaps the new 3 has it on the rears now?

On BMW I know the 3 series only have the front doors that have the ability to lock the car but on all of my 5 series (last gen and current) as well as our A4 and MDX all the doors have them. Also all of our past Mercedes had them as well.

Come to think off it our 3er was the only car that didn’t have it.
