new supra

Anyone interested in this car or see the interest?

Sounds like a GT car but small and cramped. No manual option. 2 seat slushy convertible I can see some people liking. i.e. Z4. I guess the price is decent.

Hideous from the rear.

I've been looking casually, with interest, at the new Supra in the hopes of rekindling the car enthusiast spark that left my body years ago. But to no avail. I like the idea of this car, dimensionally and performance-wise. And while a little strange-looking from some angles, I think it's OK visually. But without any manual option, the best I can muster is a lukewarm "meh".

My 340i has the same engine with a 6MT and a back seat. Okay so it weighs 350lbs more...

Yeah- there's nothing wrong with it and I"m sure it's a great car to drive. Just doesn't seem to offer anthying unique. I think I'd just get an M2 instead.

I have at least a passing interest, but not enough to really pay attention yet.

Looks a little RX8-ish to me.

I've been watching this car and want to see it in person when it comes out, not to purchase it but just to check it out. Doug Demuro did a good review of it.

One of my favorite lines is it is the quickest 0-60 Toyota ever meanwhile it has a BMW Engine

I thought it might grow on me but I can't see it as anything but really ugly. The ... "feature" on the doors is pretty heinous.

Auto only... meh. Hard pass.

Yeah, other than having to do warranty service at a Toyota dealer, I don't see why you'd do this over an M2.
