The specs are insane. But WTF?

After the initial shock, the shape makes more sense to my brain. I don’t need or want a pickup and I don’t know whether the goofy stuff here is workable, but it’s definitely different.

Design aesthetics aside, not being able to reach into the bed from the side reduces usability as a truck. It's one of the main owner complaints from the original Ridgeline.

On first look; it just doesn't look utilitarian... More like a study on a Hummer, very half-baked... There is an issue with the sides; even I've used side access for tying/climbing/loading etc on rented trucks. It also needs hooks and what not; not just hidden ones. Also not sure of unibody; the whole point of the frame is that the bed can and will be abused.

It also looks like it will have awful visibility though that won't matter since it'll drive itself.

This is more of the Tesla/tech company demo mentality. Put on a show; then go to work and hit the specs... They've succeeded multiple times; but they've also shown vaporware and pushed targets. Part of me thinks this looks to be a company running on fumes... How do you put this crap together and think it's going to show well?

We'll see, but I'm not a fan of the half-baked look. I also don't feel like I'm at war with the world around me (e.g. Hummers).

Also, who cares about armored side glass? 3rd world dictators? Zombie apocalypse fans? That's how police and fire get in to rescue you or your pets... It's the windshield that should be strong/structural.
