MotoMan recovering from bad accident...

As some of you know, one of my good friends is MotoMan...

If you've been wondering why his youtube show hasn't had many recent updates, its because he was in a bad accident -- as a pedestrian in early Jan. He was hit by a Model X while setting up camera angles for his show.

I talked to him a couple weeks after the accident (a mutual friend let me know he was in the hospital...). He's been in good spirits, and fortunately did not have a head injury. But his shoulder was shattered and he had a compound fracture in is leg.

He posted a new episode yesterday about the accident, so figured it was safe to post about it.

Wasn't able to watch the full video... But very sorry to hear that. He's lucky to be alive and unlucky to have to go through so much recovery...

Sounds like he's doing pretty well considering. Speedy recovery.

That sucks.

The wife of my best friend in NJ was hit (and run, but later caught) in a mall parking lot in early January. Very surprised at how many surgeries and rehab she has had to go through.

One good thing in her case was that she had to do an MRI that would not have happened if she had not been struck. The doctor reviewing the MRI found that she had (what turned out to be) cancer. She had no idea or symptoms

I talked to MotoMan again yesterday... He's recovering well -- driving himself to physical therapy. He's doing editing work, and will be back in front of the camera again in April (has a trip planned to test something from Porsche...)
