Anyway the McClaren is not at the selling dealer which is not a good thing iMO ... it is at McClaren getting service. The good news is the salesman said it does have a warranty though I don't know the details.

UPDATE: As of today ... the McClaren is still at the McClaren dealer ... this isn't looking to hopeful

Why not hopeful?

They had the car for a while, why now is it getting service since last week if the car is just basically sitting in a warehouse plus I'm concerned with reliability as it is being it is a such a small car brand.

EDIT: The salesman just sent me a text the Battery was dead, after reading about these cars I found the battery can cost anywhere from $2500 to $3500.

Not as much less as it should.

The McLaren must use special, ultra-grade electricity.

There's a guy John V knows (I kinda know him, but not really) that bought one in early 2016 (I think) and did One Lap in it and has tracked it a bunch. I think he likes it, but it does not seem to be what you might call, um, trouble free.

Yeah, Andy loves that car, but for everything that has gone wrong with it I don't see it being worth the pain. It sounds like a car built in the UK and made of Chinese components. :D

They are pretty, I guess... I can't put my finger on why but I find the styling to be a little derivative.

I will say, the one time I saw a McLaren at a track, it looked great and was super quick...until it barfed oil all over the infield and left on a flatbed.
