LMAO !!! |
When I ordered the 1M, it was black, white, or orange I had to decide between.
I think if I had still been in California, I would have ordered orange. But on the east coast black is better. Not exactly sure why, but it just is. I hate white, but it's NYC area appropriate. Counter-intuitively easier to keep semi-clean looking. But my auto-colorist bigotry notwithstanding, that white McLaren is goddamned sexy. I too would swap an R8 for that without hesitation. (He says having never driven either) What's your 991 trim again, C2S w/PDK? Cabrio? |

The wait for the manual felt like it took forever but was well worth it. |
Dude that sounds fun as hell.
Why not do it? What's holding you back? |
The thing with Porsches is that they are so comfortable and so damned usable as a daily, especially the 981/991 generations. I remember salivating at the specs of your 991S. If you get the McL but then end up not being able to use it due to width, clearance, visibliity, too much value, defroster, who knows what, then you'll miss the 991. If you can swing it, replace the R8 with it - if you want it that badly - but keep the 911.

I saw a McLaren today at Cars and Coffee. They are pretty impressive in person.

Definitely agree with Equ. ... the R8 would be the one I get rid of. I love the 911 too much to get rid of it though I do wish it were a more exotic looking car.
Anyway the McClaren is not at the selling dealer which is not a good thing iMO ... it is at McClaren getting service. The good news is the salesman said it does have a warranty though I don't know the details. |
