Corvette question

I don't follow year model changes too closely, but I could see myself getting a used or certified one in a few years.

I don't want to ask a "nube" question on a corvette forums, but does anyone here now why a 2019 Grand Sport is about 15K less than a 2018 Grand Sport?

Are packages this much different between 2018 and 2019 models?

Is the 2019 new and on a dealer lot? I've heard the the current gen is being heavily discounted with the new mid-engine coming out soon...

MSRP went up about $500 2018 to 2019 for LT1 Grand Sports. LT2 and LT3 trim levels are more money. Add $5k for LT2 and another $5k for LT3. My guess is that you're looking at discounted/incentivized 2018 LT1s and less discounted 2019 LT3s (or even non discounted LT2s...LT3s seem pretty rare, LT2s seem more common than LT1s).

Edit- I read that wrong. YOu've got to be looking at a 2018 LT3 vs a 2019 LT1 with the 2019 more heavily discounted/incentivized.

I thinking with Clyde on this one ...

Btw I love the Corvette, when I had them I always thought I’d never want any other sports car. Nothing drives like a Vette !!

This was the dealer I was looking at (25 manuals in stock:eek: )

Again!!! not looking at buying new, but this lot has many 2018's and 2019's

Just worried me that I will have to be very careful when looking used in a few years

2018 has this:

Z07 Performance Package

(J57) 4-Wheel Antilock
4-Wheel Disc
Carbon Ceramic Brakes
(J6d) Dark Gray Metallic-Painted Calipers
(Fe7) Z07 Suspension With Magnetic Selective Ride Control
(Xfm) Front P285/30Zr19 And Rear P335/25Zr20 Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup 2 Summer-Only
Run-Flat Tires

Looks like that's an $8000 package

and this:

VISIBLE CARBON FIBER GROUND EFFECTS PACKAGE includes visible Carbon Fiber splitter and rockers and more aggressive rear spoiler

and that's $4000
