Definitely. I'm still waiting to hear back to see if it still even available.

Didn't get much info from dealer other than this report:

http://clients.automanager.com/scrip...7d9a2ecb8b2d61

And when asked to provide more, high-res photos of the car, I was pointed to here:

https://www.cincinnatiusedautosales....7d9a2ecb8b2d61

Which is hardly better than what was on Autotrader.

Question is, should I go for it and have them get it checked out the local Porsche dealer? They seemed amenable to doing that (at my expense, as I suggested).

I wonder if I should make an offer contingent on a good inspection report.

FC 09-25-2020 03:45 PM

OK, I think I'm going for it. I told dealer I'd be willing to make an offer contingent on a clean PPI from the dealer. Guy said ok and they are willing to bring it over for the PPI (~8 miles away).

Should I be aggressive and offer $18k or try to squeeze another k off by offering $17k. I should be free to renegotiate if I get bad news form the PPI.

Thoughts?

I mean, I think the listed price is pretty fair. Your call, but 18K contingent on a good report seems reasonable to me, especially if they're willing to drive the car over to get it looked at.

Yeah, I agree with this.

That was my thinking. Thanks!

Dealer PPI is $185, but I asked them to perform a full road test as well. That will be another $185 but well worth it for a car bought blind, no?

Agreed. Seems like a great value.
