Anyone ever driven or owned an E21?

What's it like compared to an E30? :dunno:

My father had 2.5 of them... I'll ask him for his thoughts...

Yup, need a regular daily driver. Too much BS construction going on in this town.

I keep coming across people that want to park their new cars and drive beaters to (for some inexplicable reason) preserve their new cars. Nevermind that these new cars are far from being so nice that they deserve perpetual preservation or that these new cars are busy depreciating like mofos while sitting in their garages not being driven.

I don't get it.

The cost of even the crappiest E30 still pays for a few replacement tires, rim straightenings and paintless dent repairs.

Just drive the damn car.

You're right, TD, but the real reason for wanting an e21/e30/911SC etc aren't for preserving the new ones. I think these are just excuses for oneself or for one's superior half to justify owning cute, charming oldies. Hell, I'd love to have one if I weren't in NYC and could keep more than one car.

I need a replacement for the E34. I prefer to have two vehicles to divide the mileage. I have forgotten about the E21. Still searching for a E30 iS or iX. Just started looking at 944S2s last night.
