Interesting Rotary Engine

Came across a display for this at a drone conference I was attending. I didn't realize there were rotaries that are not Wankels, but apparently there are.

Interesting. Such a simple design. Definitely useful to see a slow-motion animation of the internals, to help make sense of it logically.

Very cool.

I've been internet search for about 10 minutes with no luck, but back in the late 80's I lost about 2K investing in a company in NJ that had built a different style rotary engine.
Th inventor (all I can remember is his last name was Murray) Had two working prototypes and was working very hard to get government contracts to provide his motor for generator use.
Interesting thing about the prototype that I saw was that could run on just about anything that contained some alcohol.

A good friend of mine lost even more money than I, his wife even worked for the dude for a while.

I'll keep searching, it was (supposed to be) patented

Neat. Looks like it has the potential to have the exact same problems as a traditional rotary.
