I also want the mid engined Corvette

It’s vapor ware and will only come with DSG so my kind will probably change.

Just thinking about life beyond the 996TT.

What's your take on whether there will be a Cadillac version?

And why don't you just buy a GT3 Touring???

Alan 12-10-2018 01:50 PM

I remember reading last week the price is going to be around $150K ... that seems like a lot of money :dunno:

John V 12-10-2018 03:21 PM

I want one too.

I don't have the money for one, but ... I'm sure it'll be pretty amazing for the people that can afford it.

I thought I saw internet pictures of a Cadillac key fob a few weeks ago. Key fob showed a mid engine profile

I don't really want one. I barely want a C7, and even then, I'm not sure I do.

C7 is almost too good and too far beyond. The C8 is far enough beyond I'm not interested anymore. I won't be able to use it for anything on the street that will make it interesting, so who gives a shit?

This depresses me.

It appeals to me because it’s a big deal if GM really does this.

Agree these cars are too much for the street. But what it represents from GM is something that is hard for me to ignore.

The Ford GT is the epitome of your concept of “beyond” since it’s really a true race car made so Ford can dominate LeMans.

This car seems more approachable than this.

It kind of sounds like you've given up caring about driving. You know what that means... :eeps:

I've given up on cars priced beyond median US household income with performance envelopes too great to be enjoyed on the street.

Kinda disappointed to hear Volt production will cease.

Unfortunately, you can still get a Bolt. :D

THIS!

John V 12-11-2018 09:57 AM

I kind of want a Bolt, and yet don't want a Model 3 at all. But I'm weird.

(I am not going to buy a Bolt. They're far too stupid looking. But I kind of want one)

Ergo, the Miata is the answer. If my boxster went poof, an ND would be the first thing I'd test drive. 2019+ got increased hp.

Yes. It makes a very compelling case for itself and I do want one, but an ND2/tubomaro combo doesn't make nearly as much sense as a towing-capable-truck-or-suv/turbomaro combo does

I do want to drive a new Camry and see if they've gotten any better. I'm open to Toyota changing direction. Skeptical, but open.

Honest. Not defeatist or apathetic.

(Electric cars suck in 20F weather by the way)
