If we did win, we were going to cancel our Turo reservation for the 981, and rebook our flight that was planned for Ft Laurderdale to ATL. We would have picked it up Saturday and driven it down to Key Largo. It would have been really nice to be driving around the islands in our own car vs someone else's boxster.

Oh well. It wasn't meant to be.

Sorry, Josh. I'm very disappointed on your behalf as well...

Assuming the selling dealer has set a realistic reserve, the issues with this car might make it a pretty killer deal:

And this one is...I just love the paint so much.

06 engine not as reliable (or good at holding value)... The second is a terrible color for a turbo.

I'm generally a fan of bright/attention-grabbing green but that's a bad shade

I like both of these cars.

Nice finds.

Do you have to scour these listings or is there an automated war h engine that spits them out daily?

Coming out of the BAT bidding war and renting the 981s for the week, I've been doing a lot of Porsche research and preliminary car shopping. Assuming no major life changes impact us in the next 6 months, we'll be actively looking for a 991.2 cab sometime after March. I'll share details of what exactly I'm looking for and ask for pointers when the time comes. In the meantime, I set up daily email alerts to see whats for sale and whether anything perfect pops up.

This one is just such a hot mess. It's a shame, because its a good spec and I kind of like the Gulf Blue, but then you add the black wheels and black lettering, the red gauges and red seat belts and none of it works together.

I must be color blind because that car looks white to me :dunno:

I am not a fan of the red belts or red dashboard but I like the black wheels and black lettering on what looks like a white car to me ...

It does look white at first, but I think it’s just horrible lighting in the photos - washes out the blue..

I will be excited to follow along on your hunt. And that is a weird spec. I'm not opposed to colored belts/dials, but it needs to be a very careful coordination.

I don’t mind that car. Gulf blue is a little played out but it’s an interesting color. The red accents are tacky, but are they that much tackier than anything else involving a 90k Porsche? A car like that should have a little dash of tacky.
