Magnum review (not mine)

The full meaning of this review cannot be fully understood without knowing a little about the guy writing the review. Think of him being something as a mix between lemming, TD, JST and me. I must go drive one. |
Big suprise that the V8 feels so great to a guy with a WRX.

I dig both the 300C and the Magnum immensely. I want to drive either/both. The missing pieces for both are a manual transmission and the ability to fully disable the DSC equivalent--maybe the planned R/T versions will address both of these shortcomings. I saw the Monster Garage where they turned a Magnum into a rail car, and the side exit straight pipes were truly outstanding. |
I really liked the Magnum until I started seeing it in person. Something about the design just doesn't look right to me...it's too squished looking.

Oohh
So is that DC's answer to "flame surfacing" ? :D |
My youngest brother is cross-shopping the 300 and the Magnum currently. Being a mash-it-and-go kind of guy, he is not largely concerned with steering braking, etc. That said, he liked the Hemi 300 a lot, but has not yet driven the Magnum.
I don't see myself buying a Magnum but it is certainly an interesting car. |
I like the Magnum a lot, and the styling looks even better to me in person than it does in photos. I love the high sills and slit-like windows, which gives the car a low-slung "chopped" appearance without sacrificing interior room. It's really freaking cool, and it's also nice and fast. If it ever becomes available with a six-speed, it will be on the short list. (Seven years from now.)
