I agree. I am ok with interior storage. I also appreciate the cup holders knowing that it only holds small containers well. But there is no drinking in the 718 anyway.

What surprised me was the spark plug job at 30k miles.

The gripes about interior storage are weird, because I don’t really carry anything I want to put in the car other than my sunglasses, and the door pocket is perfect for those.

Lack of storage space in the interior of a 992 was a fairly quick observation that I had, but like you I generally carry little than what is on my personal being.

I generally don’t allow any drinks in my vehicles either, though on occasion I will make an exception for water. Food is strictly prohibited.

The same is suggested for my 997.2. In fact if the mileage is not met there is a suggested time as well. I want to say it’s every three years.

The plug interval is the same on the F80; generally 3 oil changes or 30,000 miles.

Also I don’t know how you all don’t drink coffee in your cars.

At least the S55 doesn't do knock sensing through the spark plugs like the S65.

I eat and drink in my cars but I will tell you I never use the drink holder on the left side on the 718, years ago on the 911 I put a Sprite from a fast food place in the drink holder and it spilled all over the HVAC controls because the cover was not secured well or probably just a cheap cup so when I picked it up the drink kinda crunched in my hand and the top came off and the soda spilled. The drink holders and HVAC controls are the same in the 718 ... the buttons were so sticky.

I think they wanted around $1,000 to replace the HVAC unit/buttons and I finally bit the bullet after trying manying different methods to make the buttons not stick ... the dealer ended up replacing the unit and surprised me by telling me they got it covered under warranty.

Thoughts on this BGTS build sans the exterior/interior color combo?

That’s a nice build. I skipped the premium package because I didn’t want LCA; having lived with the car there are blind spots with the top up, so maybe it would be nice to have.

I did spec nav though I didn’t renew the Porsche Connect service because it’s stupid expensive. I put in a wireless CarPlay dongle and just use that, so frankly might not do nav on another car; Porsche nav isn’t the easiest to use, anyway.

I like the color combo even if I generally don’t like grey cars. The red interior is cool.

Last suggestion would be to reconsider painting the roll hoops body color. I actually think they look best in black, because it coordinates with the other black trim.
