C&D Lighting Lap
All-time results here: https://www.caranddriver.com/feature...storical-data/
I got the latest (2-month(!)) issue of C&D with the latest LL. Without spoilers, the GT3RS put up crazy numbers, the Lucid Air was one fast fat pig, as was the X5 MC. But then I went to the all-time results and it is fascinating to see where crazy exotics of not long ago stand compared to lesser exotics of today. For example, the 2019 M5C is next to and 0.1 seconds away from the Murcielago LP670-4 SV. The 430 Scuderia is .6 seconds behind the M5. The Lexus LFA is another 0.5 seconds behind that. The 2011 GT3RS and Audi R8 V10 Plus are another full second behind that. Meanwhile, the 2022 RS3 and 2018 Carrera T both beat all of those with ease. Also, the 2020 718 GT4 bests the 2014 F12 Berlinetta and the 2022 M3 CS ties the 458 Italia. That's amazing. |
American muscle clearly rules the bang-for-buck rankings

Yes. Lot's of Corvettes up there along with Mustang and Camaro performance models .
|
How about a Hyundai Kona N (never even heard of it) beating a 2012 C63 AMG Coupe
|
2015 Tesla Model S P85D also the clear bang-for-buck dog

The M1000 superbike was an interesting comparator. As were the two race prepped cars (LeMans Camaro and Airslayer)

I had the chance to drive a 430 Scuderia at Summit Point. Unreal performance. And it is an also ran now.
Amazing. |
