Catalytic converter needed for a 2007 328ix coupe .. advice needed

My buddy has a 2007 328ix coupe and needs a catalytic converter for his car. Do you know if this is the right part or could possible suggest a reasonable option.. thanks

So, my recommendation is to buy a used Genuine one. Even though this is not technically legal, new inexpensive aftermarket cats are garbage. The used OE one should last a while. I wouldn’t be surprised if the aftermarket pieces need to be changed for every emissions inspection.

realoem.com will provide parts number for all bmw parts, you start with the last 7 of his VIN.

Unfortunately, the answer is craigslist for part outs.. The original part is too expensive to buy new.
