i'm going to guess that BMW stylists consider this gorgeous car's styling to be too baroque for their corporate purposes.

god forbid BMW produce something this clean and nice looking.

The AMV8 is dead sexy; I saw one on the road the other day, and it really is a nearly perfect design execution. Every detail fits. Every line works. All of the proportions are harmonious.

I really want one.

I completely agree. Why other carmakers like BMW can't go on towards a lean and tight style is beyond me. This car makes alot of others in it's category look bloated and worn out.

The AMV8 is awesome. If I ever had the money for a pricey GT, it is it. Unless I had to have a slushie. Then it would be a hard choice between it and the SL. ( I dunno what tranny options AM offers, but I assume one of them includes a clutch pedal).

Not sure if an auto is available on the AMV8 but they did offer the auto on the entry level DB7 back in the day. But if an auto is the case, I agree that at this price the SL is the choice for a great reliable GT. Aston's are British and reliablity is not one of their strong points.

I'd take the AMV8 over the SL 10/10 times. I keep seeing one driving around the Back Bay by some dude in a blue Pearl Jam hat....:eeps:

Sure, but Aston Martins have had a horrible record of being in the shop for days on end. (DB7 and earlier) Check out what an oil change costs. An SL is a bit more cost effective in that regard.

i'd still love to own one.

i'll wait until Ford sells Aston, though.
