Keep all or Prune the Herd?
it’s been a hot minute, so let’s set the table and then ask the question.
2018 Carrera T 2018 GT3 2024 GT3 It is not rational, but my preference is to keep 3. But when challenged by logic, I don’t know how it makes sense. I can see better the logic to keep the last of the narrow bodied 911’s (911 T) plus a GT3. I could also go into bean counter mode and say, keep both GT3s, and the first gen Carrera T is ‘meh’ now that there is a 2nd gen Carrera T. But all three isn’t logically defensible. Any thoughts or opinions? I would love to know. |

It’s hard to see how it makes sense to have two GT3s, unless it really is just about halving the number of miles you put on each. I’d probably ditch the older GT3 and replace it with something else. A Targa maybe?

Nascent plan is to upgrade 987.2 to a 992 Carrera S cabrio or a CPO 992 Turbo/S cabrio. That should be in the calculus too. Who am I kidding? In addition to the 987. |

No interest in another make to replace the older GT3? |

It’s getting quite difficult to find something that resonates. Manual Supra? M3? |

But based upon BaT comps...if you're looking at replacing it with a similar value car, I'd say an Aston Martin V12 Vantage 7-speed or Ferrari 550 Maranello. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...-vantage-s-13/ https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...-maranello-14/ |

I feel like in your collection, the impracticality of the top is outweighed by how good it looks. |
