I am definitely considering this car, like it’s mentioned here I’m not a Chevy/American guy but I always LOVED the Corvette ... I had 4 of them plus I showed a picture of this new model to my wife and she loved it. That is a pretty big thing in my household because while she appreciates a hot car she isn’t a car person but she always loved our corvettes. That could also be because they were automatics and she could drive them.

The biggest downside to buying a Corvette is the dealer service, back when I had them there were a couple of big Corvette dealers with Corvette techs, nowadays that is over, Long Island corvette specialists are gone and I have a hard time going to a Chevy dealer for service being they all look like they are from the 70’s.

Yep, me too.

I’m with JV. Skipping the first model year of a massively new chassis seems prudent.

Nice one Josh!

So I regret to say that I really don’t like the way this car looks. It looks like it doesn’t have enough tire or wheel in the 3/4 view, and that...strake or whatever it is on the side is just weird. It juts forward at an angle that doesn’t relate to anything around it; it’s not cohesive and it doesn’t convey speed. It just looks like they needed a unique style element and pulled that one out of the cardboard box in the corner.

I’m sure it will be amazing to drive, but the more I look at it the less I want to look at it.

Robert Cumberford agrees with you:

Robert Cumberford doesn't really like many cars that he didn't design.

I don't love every detail of the design (the four square tailpipes are ... blech), but the more I look at pictures of it, the more I like it as a whole. I'm not a huge fan of any of the factory wheels, but wheels are easy to fix. Exhaust is easy to fix as well.

And of course, the Z51 cars are going to look better because, well, they're lower.

Given that you own a Tesla 3, which is....subjectively challenging to look at, what mid engine car suits your eye?

I’m curious because I find most of them to be challenging.

(Except for the Porsche models)

Well, the Porsches. The R8 is nice enough. I like the GT a lot; the NSX both old and new are ok.

I like the Huracan.
