Iknow, I know... it's a 135 vert. But its a really nice one and almost 1/2 the price of what you're thinking about paying for an e9x m3 |

That is really nice and the mileage alone make it compelling but not sure. I need to drive a oner. Thanks for checking.

Boring color combo and rims. But slicktop manual sedan at a good price.

Ugh. Don't. Silverstone is awful.

Not my favorite color. Reminds me of Blue Water.

Believe me I have considered one of those.

Continue to beat the drum. This one is well optioned. I'm sure wdc would be happy to take it for a test drive for you. |
Funny enough I just had to put another $3200 into it this month (Granted 4 new tires were part of that but still) so I have been lurking used car sites again.
I love the thought of a 135 I really do but the melted sides just kill it for me. I am currently hoping the coming upgraded M2 pushes the first year M2 pricing down just a little more and I will bite. I’ve been looking at cars that make no sense for me as well. Test drove a 2014 SLK 55 AMG. I know, auto blah blah blah, girls car blah blah blah but it’s actually a brute. I don’t know. Still looking as always. |

You really should find a good 6mt 135 and just drive it. I hear your ugly comments, but it is such a good car. I think if you drove one it would get a lot prettier. (Insert inappropriate college date that I once had comment here) The one I posted looks a little better imo with the BMW performance side skirts and front splitter. On the SLK AMG - If I remember right, Clarkson owned one and waxed poetically about what a fun little car it was. You shove a big v8 into anything and it can be a hoot. |

i think you have to drive some cars. it rules out things fast. |

If I didn’t care about uber power, I’d actually look for a 128 sport (decent power and more reliable engine), but they are few and far between. With more spend available and no droptop needed/wanted, I’d go for the M2. |

I am still looking for the right one so it might be an opportunity for me. The M2 is a fantastic car, people are likely selling for a variety of reasons (changing needs, etc.) or simply want to upgrade to a newer version of the M2 or even a different car.Quote For what it's worth, I came from a 135is. As much as I love my M2, and the incremental improvements it offers in performance and handling (and LSD!), I often conclude that I would have been better off just to keep the 135is and spend the extra money on something else. You've probably seen it, Theo, but here's the whole thread: http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1475239' |
I did a search for used 16-17 M2's last night and the price's are insane. But the guy is right, there is a ton of lightly used ones for sale. Maybe people thought the insane used price of the 1M would apply to the M2 as well. Drive it for a year and sell for a profit.
With a market starting price new of $54, add some options maybe $58 it was crazy to see how many used ones are asking in the low to even mid $60's. Like I said maybe the M2 comp will change that but the flood of used M2's at the current price point would make me buy new instead of used. |

I think the best used value, though, would still be the 2016 M235 or even a lightly used M240 with the B58 engine. The latter is incredibly close in performance to the M2. Just add the LSD with the savings. You can also add a tune, if you're into such things... So cheap! (weird colors, though): https://www.unitedbmw.com/detail-201...-17464109.html For $20k more, the M4 version: https://www.nalleybmw.com/used-inven...nchor-model-22 |
Ugh just like the 135 I want to love the 240 as well. If they added just slightly more rear hip to accommodate say a 255 tire and not look so restrained then yes I probably would.
I am just weird which is why I still have my M5 after almost 10y. |

I get that.
