I guess having it in the console isn't so bad. But now I have to start two routing apps every time I drive anywhere.

You don't have to buy a 3

I guess having it running in the console tray down below isn't so bad. But now I have to start two routing apps every time I drive anywhere.

Ah, I don't use Android. In my experience the equivalent Apple CarPlay thing is dodgy and annoying. It's nice when it works, but it doesn't work more often than it does. Maybe Android is better?

The Tesla software is world's better than any other OEM nav I've used--night and day. Its traffic integration is solid, too--good enough that I don't even bother with Waze, though I recognize others may like Waze a lot more than I do.

I saw several threads bitching about Tesla map routing, so that doesn't jive with your experiences. But I'm confident that if it is deficient it will continue to improve. So I'm not worried about it at all.

But Waze warns me about cops. It's that simple. It saved me just this morning.

Waze tells you where the cops are. Ironically also works the other way:

Tesla map routing was weird and bad for a while--like, very terrible, in that it would sometimes route you off on random side trips for no apparent reason. Over the past couple of years it has steadily improved; these days the routes it proposes are basically indistinguishable from the ones that Google suggests, at least around here.

Hahaha. No.

And I just ordered:
- Performance AWD version
- Blue exterior
- Black interior

I skipped
- 20" wheel upgrade
- Nav
- White interior

The web site says Oct - Dec 18

The lead sales guy at the place I ordered it says he's confident I'll get it some time between Halloween and Thanksgiving.

Now.... Who's buying my Porsche?
