useful car websites
I came across a couple websites lately that I found useful, so I figured I'd share. I assume you guys have lots more, so this thread can be a catch all reference if you want:
BMW Technical Information (most models): https://www.newtis.info/ Auto Maker Mktg Brochures (PDF): http://www.auto-brochures.com/index.html Porsche Vin Decoder: https://vinanalytics.com/ BMW Vin Decoder: https://www.mdecoder.com/ A site that searches private for sale listings at multiple forums: https://hiddenrides.com/ |

Here’s a couple of my favorite in-car sites (Tesla optimized...)
Waze viewer - shows traffic conditions and user alerts (like police) on a map: https://teslawaze.azurewebsites.net/ Tesla Winds and Elevation - uses the gps sensors to pull local wind speeds and calculate you speed, direction and elevation changes to estimate the impact of wind and elevation changes on range. The wind direction thing is kind of in the Waze thing also. Needs some API keys to pull the wind and location data, but is pretty cool to watch it update as you drive... helpful in windy situations on road trips in an EV: https://teslawinds.com/ |

putting this here so I can find it easily in the future. Had originally posted it in WDC's CX-5 thread. |

Pick one car. Then select it in box one. Then select another car and populate it in box 2. Once you get the two cars you want to compare, you can tap on the displayed cars to switch them front to back. It takes a while to get the hang of it, but again the data is worth it |

I don't think i will go back until they make it so easy to sue that even I can use it. |
